The CNWL Therapies Conference 2026 brought together colleagues from across the Trust and partner organisations to share learning, showcase innovation and celebrate the impact of humanity in healthcare held at The Ridgeway Centre in Milton Keynes, the conference featured keynote speakers, interactive sessions and networking opportunities focused on improving patient care. Throughout the day, delegates explored topics including trauma-informed practice, integrated working, staff wellbeing and patient co-production. The event highlighted the importance of compassionate, person-centred care and provided an opportunity for colleagues to connect, learn from one another and strengthen collaboration across services.

Dr Con Kelly will retire from his role as Chief Medical Officer in December. Con has been an exceptional clinical leader whose commitment to patient care, safety, and the wellbeing of our staff has shaped this organisation in profound and lasting ways. His calm judgement, compassion and unwavering focus on quality have guided us through some of the most challenging periods in the NHS. We will have many opportunities over the coming months to reflect on his contributions and to thank him properly.

The latest NHS England National Oversight Framework (NOF) results show that CNWL has been ranked number 2 nationally for mental health and community trusts for the second quarter in a row — and we’ve secured the very top spot for trusts providing mental health services.
