Unpaid carers do so much, often behind the scenes. They support the people they love every single day, while balancing challenges of their own. We’re supporting carer-friendly communities with events across the Trust.
Our services in Westminster are running a range of events to support and connect local carers.
The sessions are all about giving carers a bit of time for themselves, sharing helpful health information, and encouraging people to get involved in our carer involvement programme so they can help shape change.
We’re also teaming up with Pimlico Community Champions and the Octopus Dementia Working Group to host two relaxed “Communitea” brain health sessions in local community spaces. These will be informal and chatty, bringing together people with lived experience and professionals. We’ll cover things like brain health, mindfulness while caring, and some simple brain gym activities.
There’ll be plenty of time to talk, share experiences and connect with local support. People can also chat to colleagues from Westminster Talking Therapies about support for mental health and wellbeing.
