CNWL celebrates Pride in London 2026
CNWL colleagues came together on Saturday 4 July to take part in Pride in London, celebrating LGBTQ+ communities and showing the Trust’s commitment to inclusion, equality and belonging.
CNWL's march was led by Trust Chief Operating Officer, Graeme Caul who, together with other CNWL senior leaders and staff, joined thousands of people across central London for a day of celebration, visibility and solidarity. Colleagues proudly represented CNWL, connecting with communities and celebrating the diversity of our staff, patients and the people we serve.
This year the Trust partnered with First Steps ED, a national charity delivering personalised support for those impacted by eating disorders, eating distress, and body image difficulties. The charity works in partnership with the NHS to deliver a range of services for all ages, including 1:1 support, therapy, CBT-E, parent and carer support, workshops, ARFID support, and training.
Representing the charity were Patron and The Traitors star, Miles Asteri, alongside CEO Daniel Magson, Head of Communications Natalie Martin, and ambassadors from across the organisation.
Taking part in Pride is an important opportunity to show support for LGBTQ+ colleagues and communities, while recognising the importance of creating safe, welcoming and inclusive environments across our services and workplaces.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped represent CNWL at this year’s celebrations.

At a time when trans people face misunderstanding and hostility, coming together in joy, solidarity and pride really matters. Seeing so much support for the trans community along the parade route was incredibly moving. It was a joyful and uplifting day, full of connection, visibility and people showing up for one another.”

Pride is an important opportunity to celebrate identity, visibility, and solidarity, as well as to reflect on the progress we have made and the work that remains to ensure our organisation is inclusive, safe, and welcoming for all. I am proud of the commitment shown across our services and teams, and grateful for the contribution of LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies throughout the year.
Pride in London takes place on 4 July this year. Alongside this, Pride is now widely celebrated as a season of events, with colleagues also taking part in local and community-led celebrations across London, Milton Keynes and beyond over the summer months, including Trans Pride, UK Black Pride, and a range of regional Pride events.
As part of our Pride celebrations, I would also like to take a moment to recognise Richard Keelan, Co-Chair of our LGBTQ+ Network. Richard has made a lasting contribution to the network during his time in post, helping to strengthen its voice and support colleagues across the organisation. As he relocates back to the United States, we thank him for his leadership and commitment, and he will be greatly missed by those who have worked closely with him.
