Congratulations to three CNWL colleagues who have been shortlisted in the 7th Annual National B.A.M.E Health & Care Awards 2026.
The awards celebrate the achievements of Black and Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) staff and allies who are making a positive difference across health and care services, recognising leadership, innovation, inclusion and service improvement.
The shortlisted colleagues are:
Taffy Tapfuma
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in Milton Keynes Talking Therapies Service, shortlisted in the Excellence in Community Partnerships category.

The nomination recognises Taffy’s work alongside colleagues, people with lived experience and community organisations to strengthen relationships between NHS Talking Therapies and local communities. This has included developing community wellbeing initiatives aimed at reducing stigma, encouraging earlier help-seeking and improving access to mental health support for communities that can experience barriers to services.
Taffy said: “I’m incredibly grateful to be shortlisted. Community partnership is never the work of one person, so this recognition reflects the commitment of colleagues, community partners and people with lived experience who have helped bring this work to life.”
Jonah Seto
Senior Clinical Supervisor and Service Lead in Brent Mental Health Support Team (MHST), shortlisted in the Clinical AHP Champion of the Year category and in the Inclusive Leader of the Year – Staff Voice / Frontline & Community Impact category.
Crystal Wong
Senior Supervisor and Team Lead in Brent MHST, shortlisted in the Future Leader Award / Next Gen (18-30) category.
A proud achievement
The shortlistings are a fantastic achievement for Taffy, Jonah and Crystal, and reflect the Trust’s ongoing commitment to delivering excellent care, supporting its workforce and fostering inclusive leadership across the Trust.
The winners will be announced at the National B.A.M.E Health & Care Awards ceremony in September.
We wish all three colleagues the very best of luck and congratulates them on this well-deserved recognition!
