The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Service in Milton Keynes is looking for passionate and motivated people to join the team as Employment Specialists, with both full-time and part-time (20 hours) opportunities available.
Employment can play a vital role in supporting recovery, improving wellbeing and helping people build confidence and independence.
As an Employment Specialist, you'll work directly with people experiencing mental health challenges, helping them find and keep meaningful paid employment.
Supporting people into work
Employment Specialists provide practical, personalised support every step of the way, working closely with individuals, employers and clinical teams to help people succeed in work.
The team's support includes:
Supporting service users to quickly identify and apply for jobs that match their skills, interests and career aspirations.
Helping people create CVs, complete application forms and prepare for interviews.
Working with employers to discuss opportunities, reasonable adjustments and workplace support, while helping individuals make informed decisions about health disclosures.
Providing ongoing support once someone starts work to help them settle into their role and maintain employment.
Offering information and guidance to help people understand how employment may affect their benefits and financial situation.
