The Milton Keynes Early Intervention in Psychosis Team (EIPT) recently came together to celebrate an incredible milestone – 20 years of supporting people in their recovery journeys.

The anniversary event was a vibrant and uplifting occasion, bringing together staff, partners and special guests to reflect on two decades of compassionate care and life-changing support.

Among those attending was Councillor Paul Trendall, Mayor of Milton Keynes, who joined the team for the celebrations and marked the occasion with a group photograph.

A highlight of the event was the opportunity to recognise the dedication and commitment of staff. Certificates were presented to team members in appreciation of their achievements, unwavering dedication and valuable contributions over the years.

The celebration also centred the voices of those who have experienced the service first-hand. A service user and a carer delivered powerful live speeches, sharing deeply personal reflections on their recovery journeys and the difference the EIP team has made in their lives.

Their stories were a moving reminder of the impact of early intervention and the importance of compassionate, person-centred care.

These heartfelt contributions were complemented by written testimonials and pre-recorded video messages from both current and former service users and carers, highlighting the lasting positive impact of the team’s work across Milton Keynes.

The event was filled with pride, gratitude and a strong sense of community – a fitting tribute to 20 years of excellence.
