Falls can have a significant impact on health and wellbeing, particularly for people aged over 65. Whether you've experienced a fall before or are concerned about your balance, the new website provides easy access to trusted information and resources to help you stay active, healthy and confident.
The website also highlights the support available through Staying Steady Milton Keynes, a specialist service that works with people who have fallen or are at risk of falling.
The team works closely with individuals and their carers to identify factors that may increase the risk of falls, offering personalised advice and support. This can include raising awareness of fall risk factors, recommending exercises or lifestyle changes, and suggesting practical adaptations around the home to help prevent future falls.
By taking a proactive approach, the service aims to help people maintain their independence, improve their confidence and reduce the likelihood of serious injury.
Steady On Your Feet Milton Keynes is delivered in partnership by Milton Keynes City Council, Milton Keynes University Hospital, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) and the Central East Integrated Care Board, bringing together local expertise to support the health and wellbeing of Milton Keynes residents.
If you or someone you care for is worried about falling, visit the Steady On Your Feet Milton Keynes website to find advice, self-help resources and information about the support available in your local area.
